I’ve always been incredibly flattered to have the opportunity to carry Headbands of Hope headbands in the shop, as they’re so much more than a beautiful accessory to complete your favorite outfit; they’re a way to give back to those undergoing an admirable fight with cancer. For each headband sold, one is donated to a child with cancer, and $1 is donated to Childhood Cancer Research. Specifically speaking for M of Hope, headbands are donated to the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital and Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital.
I love watching women, both undergoing treatment and those who are avid fans of the company, shop the latest and greatest headbands and clips in the shop, and the instant confidence and smiles the headbands bring to them.
Each month I host the event Beautiful IS Bald in the shop (if you haven’t attended one just yet, you need to join us for the next one- this is an order!). This past month was extra special as it was not only the two year anniversary of the shop, but two years for Beautiful IS Bald, too! The theme was “Cheers To Two Years!” and Headbands of Hope graciously donated floral crown headbands to the women who stopped in and attended the event. The generosity of this company is humbling, and I can’t believe they did something so selfless to those fighting the good fight.
I have said this time and time again, but what makes this particular event so special is seeing the women come into the shop looking a little defeated. They spend time with all of the women who help to make this event so special, and a transformation takes place right before our very eyes- they are smiling, laughing and are exuding absolute beauty.
With the donation of the floral crown headbands, there were smiles galore, all evening long!
