I wanted to share another little secret of mine with you. Typically in the winter, I leave my hair up in a bun to help prevent from tangles my coat provides me with (you know exactly what I am talking about), but lately I have been spending a few extra minutes in the morning on taking that time to curl my hair. I am not sure about all of you, but when I am stressed out or busy I tend to do one of two things: rearrange everything in my home and clean, or make a spa day to catch some relaxation. But spas aren’t necessarily affordable, as in, you can’t really go there once a week. I went to get a massage and when I did the math, the thought of being on the table and rationalizing that there goes food for the week, I was so stressed that I left. It made me giggle to think of how as they would rub my back, I would be so tense.
To make up for it, I decided to bring the spa to my home with a bubble bath and a face mask. I spoke of Lush once before (and trust me, they will come up again). Alright, so I am sharing wayyyyy too much these days. Thankfully I can hide behind my computer screen until someone brings this up in person to witness just how red my face will turn.
Newsflash: Everyone poops. This is the honest-to-goodness truth. Every single person poops. Who planted this crazy idea? And when did pooping becoming embarrassing?
I have to let you in on another secret of mine: I am a fan of dry shampoo. A strange secret to share, but one that is beneficial to know and perhaps the best advice you will be given today. Okay, perhaps a stretch, but I am getting to the point.
In addition to having dry shampoo in my collection of hair products for my hair, dry shampoo is actually more beneficial to my shoes, or rather, I use it more for that purpose. It is an excellent 2-for-1 to have around your home. Continue reading
Isn’t it just like Murphy and his little law to discontinue products that we grow to love? I understand from working retail that it’s all about making things better and marketing strategies, but sometimes, it can be downright frustrating.
Right now with this Polar Vortex and really chilly temperatures, my skin has seen (and felt) better days. While nothing new, I mean, I’ve lived in Cleveland my entire life and either it really is getting colder or my immunity to it is starting to decrease, it’s just uncomfortable to my sensitive skin.
